Delete your account & data

Last updated: 23 June 2026

This page explains how to delete your RareBit account — the trading-card-game collection tracker available at rarebit.app and as a mobile app — and what happens to your data when you do.

Delete your account yourself (recommended)

You can delete your account at any time, directly and for free. It takes effect immediately.

  • In the mobile app: open the menu, go to Settings → Danger zone, tap Delete account and confirm.
  • On the web: sign in at rarebit.app, open your Profile, scroll to the Danger zone, click Delete account, type your email to confirm and submit.

Request deletion by email

If you can no longer access your account or the app, email privacy@rarebit.app from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. To protect you, we may need to verify ownership of the account before acting. We respond within the time limits required by law (and in any case within 30 days).

What gets deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes your personal data, including:

  • your account details (email, hashed password, display name, language and currency);
  • your entire collection and wishlist — cards, sealed products and video games, with quantities, conditions, purchase prices and notes;
  • your price alerts, set-completion progress and box-rip records;
  • your public profile (slug, bio, avatar and social handles), if you had one;
  • your developer API keys;
  • your notifications, push-notification subscriptions and preferences;
  • your sign-in sessions and tokens (you are signed out everywhere).

This is irreversible: once deleted, your collection and data cannot be recovered.

What we may keep, and for how long

If you ever subscribed to RareBit Pro or a paid API plan, we retain the limited billing records we are legally required to keep (for example invoices, for tax and accounting obligations); these are held by our payment processor, Stripe, and by us for the period required by law. Any active subscription is cancelled as part of the deletion so you are not billed again. Standard server and security logs that may contain technical identifiers (such as an IP address) are kept only for a short, limited period and then removed in the ordinary course. We do not sell your personal data.
