Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 13 August 2026

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of RareBit (“RareBit”, “we”, “us”) — the website at rarebit.app, the RareBit apps for iOS and Android and the developer API. They are also the end-user licence agreement (EULA) for those apps. By creating an account, downloading an app or using RareBit you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. They work alongside our Privacy Policy.

RareBit is provided by RareBit. You can reach us at info@rarebit.app, and that is also the address for any question or complaint about the app or a subscription.

The service

RareBit lets you track your trading-card-game collection: catalogue browsing, a portfolio and wishlist, market-price reference data and value estimates, set completion, price alerts, on-device card scanning, optional public profiles and a developer API. We may add, change or remove features over time.

Your account

  • You must be at least 16 years old to create an account, and old enough to make a valid purchase under the law of your country before you subscribe.
  • Provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure; you are responsible for activity under your account.
  • Tell us promptly at info@rarebit.app if you suspect unauthorised use.
  • A subscription is tied to your RareBit account, which is why you must be signed in to buy one: it is what lets the same subscription work on your phone and on the web.

What is free, and what is paid

Tracking your collection is free, and exporting your data is free — it is never behind a payment. RareBit Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription that unlocks the analysis features (extended price history, per-card analysis, percentage-move alerts, the Western/Japanese comparison, the grading verdict, bulk scanning, binders and their goals, the set binder view, set completion cost, the sales log and the detailed sealed breakdown). Our developer/business API plans are a separate paid product, sold only on the web.

Subscriptions bought in the RareBit apps (Apple App Store and Google Play)

When you subscribe inside the iOS or Android app, the following applies. The exact price in your currency, including any tax, is always shown by the store before you confirm.

  • Title: RareBit Pro.
  • Length: one month or one year, as you choose. Both plans unlock exactly the same features; they differ only in billing period.
  • Price: €7.99 per month or €59.99 per year in the euro area, VAT included; the price in other countries and currencies is set per territory and shown on the purchase screen.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple Account (iOS) or Google Account (Android) when you confirm the purchase.
  • Automatic renewal: the subscription renews automatically for the same period unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Renewal charge: your account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the price of the plan you chose (or at the new price, if we told you about a change and you accepted it).
  • Managing and cancelling: you can manage the subscription and turn off auto-renewal after purchase in your store account settings — on iOS in Settings › your name › Subscriptions, on Android in Google Play › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions. We cannot cancel a store subscription for you.
  • After cancelling you keep Pro until the end of the period you already paid for; the current period is not refunded on cancellation.
  • No free trial is currently offered on any channel. We may occasionally grant a limited free Pro period (for example through an invite code): that is a grant, not a subscription — it ends on its own and never charges you. If we ever do offer a store trial, any unused part of the free period is forfeited when you buy the subscription, as the stores require.
  • Deleting the app, or your RareBit account, does not cancel the subscription — it keeps renewing until you cancel it in the store.

Subscriptions bought on the web

On rarebit.app, Pro and the API plans are sold through our payment providers (RevenueCat Web Billing, which uses Stripe, or Stripe directly). They renew automatically for the chosen period until you cancel, which you can do at any time from the customer portal linked in your profile; access continues to the end of the paid period. Card details are entered with the payment provider and never reach our servers. Taxes may apply depending on your location.

Price changes

We may change the price of a plan. A change never affects the period you have already paid for, and we will give you notice before it applies to a renewal, in the way the relevant store requires — on the App Store and Google Play a price increase does not take effect until you consent to it where the store requires consent, and you can always cancel instead.

Refunds and your right to withdraw

For a subscription bought in the iOS or Android app the seller is Apple or Google, so refunds are requested from them and are decided under their policies — Apple and Google Play. For a purchase made on the web, write to us at info@rarebit.app.

If you are a consumer in the EU or EEA you have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. Because Pro is digital content supplied immediately, by starting to use the paid features you ask us to begin performance during that period and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once performance has been completed. Where the purchase was made through a store, that store handles the withdrawal on the seller’s behalf. Nothing here limits mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence; outside those rights, payments are non-refundable except as stated at purchase.

Licence to use the apps

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the RareBit apps on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, in accordance with these Terms and the usage rules of the store you got the app from. This licence is not a sale: all rights not expressly granted are reserved. You may not rent, lease, sublicense, sell or redistribute the app, remove or alter its notices, or reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble it except to the extent the law expressly allows.

Additional terms for the Apple App Store

This section applies only to the RareBit app obtained from the Apple App Store, and prevails over the rest of these Terms to the extent of any conflict for that app.

  • These Terms are concluded between you and RareBit only, and not with Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for the RareBit app and its content.
  • The licence granted above is limited to a non-transferable licence to use the app on any Apple-branded product that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules of the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, including through Family Sharing where enabled.
  • Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support for the app. Support questions go to info@rarebit.app.
  • If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app to you (the RareBit app is free to download). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the app, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to a warranty are our responsibility.
  • We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claim of yours or of a third party relating to the app or your use of it, including product liability claims, any claim that the app fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection, privacy or similar legislation.
  • We, not Apple, are responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of any third-party claim that the app or your use of it infringes that party’s intellectual property rights.
  • You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not listed on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • You must comply with any applicable third-party terms when using the app.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, have the right (and are deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce them against you.
  • For any question or complaint about the app, contact RareBit at info@rarebit.app.

Additional terms for Google Play

The RareBit app obtained from Google Play is distributed under, and your purchase is also governed by, the Google Play Terms of Service. Google is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the app; Google Play is the seller of any subscription bought inside the Android app and handles the payment, cancellation and refund of that subscription. Google is not liable for the app or for our obligations under these Terms.

Pricing data is not financial advice

Market prices and value estimates in RareBit are indicative reference data aggregated from third-party sources (such as Cardmarket, TCGplayer, CardTrader and eBay). They may be delayed, incomplete or inaccurate, and they are not financial, investment or trading advice. Decisions you make based on them are your own responsibility. Collectibles can go up or down in value.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Break the law or infringe others’ rights when using RareBit.
  • Scrape, bulk-download, resell or redistribute our data except through the API within your plan’s limits.
  • Probe, overload, disrupt or circumvent the security, rate limits or access controls of the service.
  • Reverse-engineer or copy the app except as permitted by law.
  • Upload unlawful, infringing or harmful content, or impersonate others, including via a public profile.
  • Obtain or share Pro access by fraudulent means, including chargeback abuse, tampering with purchase receipts or sharing an account to circumvent payment.

Your content

Your collection data is yours. If you publish a public profile, you grant us a limited licence to host and display that profile (username, bio, avatar and collection summary) so visitors with the link can view it; you can unpublish it at any time. You are responsible for the content you make public and confirm you have the right to use it.

The developer API

API access is provided under your plan’s scopes, rate limits and quotas. Keep your API keys secret; you are responsible for usage under them. We may throttle, suspend or revoke keys that exceed limits or breach these Terms, and we may change the API with reasonable notice.

Intellectual property

RareBit, its software, design and original content are owned by us and protected by law. Trading-card-game names, card images and related marks are the property of their respective owners (including The Pokémon Company, Nintendo, Game Freak, Creatures and the relevant publishers); RareBit is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by them. Catalogue images and price data are provided by third parties and remain subject to their rights and terms.

Third-party services

RareBit links to and relies on third-party marketplaces and providers. We are not responsible for their content, availability or practices, and linking to them is not an endorsement. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms.

Availability and changes

We work to keep RareBit available and reliable, but we provide it on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis and may suspend, limit or discontinue features for maintenance, security or operational reasons. We may update these Terms; for material changes we will update the date above and give notice in the app. Continuing to use RareBit after changes means you accept them. If a change to a paid plan is materially to your disadvantage, you may cancel the subscription as described above.

Suspension and termination

You can stop using RareBit and delete your account at any time — see how to delete your account, and remember to cancel any store subscription separately. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or use the service in a way that harms RareBit or others. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers and limitation of liability) continue to apply.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RareBit is provided without warranties of any kind, and we do not guarantee that the service or its data will be uninterrupted, error-free or accurate. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses arising from your reliance on price data or value estimates. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.

Governing law and complaints

These Terms are governed by the laws of Italy, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence in the European Union. Disputes are subject to the competent courts, save for any mandatory consumer forum available to you. If you have a complaint, write to us first at info@rarebit.app — we would rather fix it than argue about it; consumers in the EU may also turn to the competent alternative dispute resolution or consumer body in their country.
